Diffraction efficiency of silver-containing holograms on porous glasses in the red and IR regions of the spectrum

Studies of the parameters of silver-containing porous holograms are presented, and estimates are given of their phase modulation when the free volume of the pores is filled with immersion liquids with various refractive indices. Holograms are obtained with a high diffraction efficiency not only in the red but in the near-IR region. (C) 1997 The Optical Society of America.
