Endarterectomy of the ascending aorta: An alternative method in patients with extensively calcified (porcelain) aorta requiring aortic valve replacement

A variety of surgical techniques have been described to manage the extensively calcified (porcelain) aortic root in patients requiring aortic valve replacement.
