Power-Flow Formulation for Inverter-Based Grids

This paper presents a detailed formulation of the power-flow problem for inverter-based power systems. Specifically, we consider systems that comprise a group of grid-forming and grid-following inverter-based resources that are interconnected via a network of transmission lines. A full-order model of the power system is presented, and an associated steady-state model is derived, from which the corresponding power-flow problem is formulated. We provide numerical results comparing the steady-state response of the full-order models with the solution provided by the proposed power flow model.
