Translational Research on Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury: Introduction to the Special Issue

This editorial introduces the current special issue in Translational Issues in Psychological Science entitled "Translational Research on Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury." The purpose of this special issue is to present the latest research on translational approaches to studying concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI). The included articles offer novel approaches, clinically relevant findings, and pertinent information related to concussion/TBI treatment outcomes to inform both researchers and clinicians working with individuals who have a concussion/TBI history. This translational research is essential to ensure that the knowledge gained from the laboratory is integrated into clinical practice to better understand and improve patients' experience following injury.
