摘要
The purpose of this work is to prepare nano-TiCp reinforced Al-13Si-5Cu-2Ni matrix composites by self -propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). To study the changes in microstructure and mechanical prop-erties, and summarize the strengthening mechanism. The results show that when nano-TiCp is added, it can significantly improve the nucleation rate of alpha-Al phase and refine alpha-Al dendrites. The alpha-Al dendrites were refined by 81.6%. The size of the precipitated phases Al2Cu was refined by 28.1% and more evenly distributed. The tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of Al-13Si-5Cu-2Ni alloy with 1 wt% nano-TiCp are 408 MPa, 238 MPa, and 7.5%, respectively, which are increased by 5.7%, 6.5% and 29% compared with the alloys without nano-TiCp. This work provides a reference for nano-particles enhancing the properties of Al alloys to achieve microstructure refinement and performance improvement.
