摘要
For the purpose of low -voltage network planning, distribution system operators (DSOs) assume symmetrical load conditions on the lines. Year by year, the number of distributed photovoltaic (PV) systems installed in low -voltage networks is increasing, with the majority being small single-phase rooftop systems. Additionally, the mass installation of heat pumps and single-phase electric vehicles contributes to load asymmetry. As the number of single-phase consumers and single-phase distributed generation sources grows, DSOs face challenges in ensuring voltage quality. Load balancing can be achieved using dedicated devices: zigzag transformers and active power electronic devices. This article compares the performance of a zigzag transformer and an active power electronic phases balancer for various cases of load asymmetry on the low -voltage network.
