Um olhar da ciencia, tecnologia e sociedade sobre a producao bibliografica em residuos s?lidos da Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have been an important agent in the development of research related to solid waste management (GRS). In this sense, one of how HEIs contribute to the theme is by producing scientific and technological knowledge through the exchange between different types of knowledge. The objective of the work is to understand how scientific and technological development in the GRS has been proposed by the Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos (UFSCar). For this, the bibliographic production of the UFSCar on solid waste was surveyed with the SciVal tool from the Scopus database, and publications that meet the proposed objective were selected. Thus, 47 documents were characterized and analyzed considering the approach on viable technological implementation, socio-environmental impact, and interdisciplinarity. The analysis showed that the publications integrate multiple disciplines, seek different partnerships, and have a relevant socio-environmental impact, however, some studies do not show who the public is impacted by their results, restricting replication or implementation to those who have access to the latest technology, to research institutions or even to academic-scientific knowledge.
