摘要
In this work, the Photoluminescent (PL) and Photocatalytic (PC) properties of Cr3+ doped Zn2TiO4 nanoparticles are presented. Zn2TiO4: Cr3+ phosphors were prepared from by combustion route and the formation of Zn2TiO4was confirmed by Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), morphology and optical studies were analyzed by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) and Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopic (DRS) techniques. Photoluminescence spectra exhibit the emissions in the orange-red region4T2 -> 4A2 and a sharp, high-intensity peak at 674 nm due to the2E -> 4A2 and2E -> 4A2 transitions are the corresponding transitions for orange-red emission. Further, the prepared material was used to evaluate the dye degradation and exhibits excellent pho- tocatalytic performance on fast orange-red dye. All the obtained results indicate that prepared Zn2TiO4 is a promising material for display, solid state lighting, and catalytic applications.
