摘要
Structures with vertical and plan irregularities are constructed due to the space availability, to meet public demands and offer well-structured aesthetics. High-rise structures with irregularities are most vulnerable to dynamic loads. To enhance the seismic response of these types of structures different types of energy dissipation systems are used which dissipates the energy released from the focus and improves the performance of buildings under earthquake forces. Within the wider context of energy dissipation systems for structures, Fluid viscous dampers (FVDs), within the broader framework of energy dissipation systems for structures, are well established devices often used in earthquake prone areas. This research consists of a comparative analysis of tall buildings like G+15 storey height without and with fluid viscous damper at various locations to identify different structural responses such as modal time period and type of mode, torsional irregularity, storey shear, storey displacement, and storey drift. In this study, different plan irregularity like L shape and C shape of the building is carried out using ETABS. Time historey analysis and wind static analysis and modal analysis are considered for this study.
