Evaluation of the Dependence of the Polyphenolic Composition and Acetylcholinesterase Inhibiting Activity of Extracts from Sophora japonica Flower Buds on the Extraction Method

摘要
Extraction from sophora (Sophora japonica) flower buds (SBs) was performed using subcritical water (SCW) at temperatures in the range 120-220(degrees)C and by the conventional water-ethanol method. Evaluation of the polyphenolic composition of the extracts and the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibiting activity for products isolated by different methods showed that the SCW extract obtained at 220(degrees)C demonstrates the highest values in terms of the sum of polyphenols and the sum of flavonoids, compared both with the extract obtained by the conventional method and with the SCW extracts isolated at lower temperatures. At the same time, among the studied products, the SCW extract (temperature 220(degrees)C) shows the highest inhibiting activity with respect to AChE, which indicates that the sum of polyphenols plays the critical role in SB extracts.
