摘要
The presence of women in the company is increasing day-by-day and necessary to achieve greater gender equity in the workplace. Throughout history, women have faced barriers and discrimination in the world of work, but today, the situation is changing thanks to feminist struggles, a greater social awareness of the importance of equal opportunities, and the law support. Women bring a different vision and perspective to the organization, which can have an impact on greater creativity, innovation and, therefore, profitability. However, there are still obstacles and challenges that women face in the workplace, such as the gender pay gap, lack of representation in management and leadership positions, and discrimination based on gender stereotypes. In addition, their presence in managerial and leadership positions can promote diversity and inclusion in the company, which is why it is important to know the incidence of women in companies listed on the IBEX-35 stock index. For this, the analysis of secondary data from the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) is used and the Pichat algorithm is applied from the Hamming distance to know these actions. In this way, it is intended to determine if the recommendations of the current regulations in this field are met. It is important to continue working to eliminate these barriers to achieve greater equal opportunities in the world of work and promote the professional and personal development of all people, regardless of their gender.
