摘要
Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is a promising and emerging technology for futuristic networks to realize a software-controlled wireless environment. In this work, we analyzed a dual IRS-aided communication system's performance under the non-ideal transceiver scenario. Specifically, we evaluate the considered scenario's spectral efficiency (SE) and the outage probability (OP). The analytical derivation of the SE and OP is corroborated through the simulations. The result demonstrates that dual IRS outperforms the single IRS scenario for the ideal transceiver case by mitigating the multiplicative pathloss effect by increasing the number of REs. However, for the non-ideal transceiver case, the distortion noise limits the performance. Further, we have also compared the proposed dual IRS-aided system with the baseline decode-and-forward (DF) relay-based system.
