摘要
In recent personality research, how trait self-control works when state self-control temporarily drops has received increased attention. Drawing upon the resource perspective, the current research proposed that individuals with high trait self-control may mitigate the negative impact of state self-control (i.e., vocational delay of gratification, VDG) on work-family conflict via self-regulation resource depletion. Using the experience-sampling method, the present study gathered data from 87 employees over 10 work days and found that ego depletion plays a mediating role in the relationship between VDG and WFC. Moreover, trait self-control moderates the relationship between VDG and ego-depletion. Theoretical and practical implications were discussed.
