摘要
The current study attempts to answer how and why leaders inculcate environmental sensitivity among employees in the hospitality industry. Using the environmental theory of planned behavior, a multilevel conceptual model was developed that explains the relationship between environmentally specific transformational leadership (ETFL) and employees' green behavioral intention through the mechanism of green attitude. The study hypotheses were tested using survey data of 1200 employees clustered in 120 hospitality teams. The results of multilevel structural equation modeling showed that group-level ETFL is positively related to individual-level green attitude that in turn is positively related to the green behavioral intention of employees at individual level. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings have been discussed.
