摘要
The growing interest in the study of communication and dissemination of science, together with the conceptual diversity that feeds the state of the art on the subject, makes it pertinent to clarify the current panorama about scientific culture in the region. The objective of this research was to analyze the current discourses about scientific culture in Latin America. The methodology applied was a review in conjunction with an analysis of the content. For this, it was considered in the Web of Science (WoS), SciELO and Scopus databases with the descriptor "Scientific Cul-ture". Through a process of identification, screening and suitability assessment was included (n = 61 articles). The texts were analyzed considering as a theoretical reference what was raised about scientific culture by Gomez (2012). The findings reveal a conceptual diversity present in different discourses: (i) scientistic, (ii) socio-historical, (iii) political, (iv) contextual, (v) on the communication of science and (vi) pedagogical. It is concluded that the most relevant discourses are the socio-historical, contextual and pedagogical ones, because they expose a dialogical vision of the communication and dissemination of science and give education a central role for the construction of scientific culture.
