Power Relationships, Center and Periphery in the Aragonese Version of El Libro de las maravillas by Sir John Mandeville

The Travels is a a text written by Sir John Mandeville in the year 1357. From this point on, the text spread widely throughout Western Europe through numerous versions, adaptations and translations. England will be the place where it will have the greatest roots, which is why it will also be the space in which the first historiographic discourse that addresses Mandeville and his text from a "center" is formed. However, there are other versions of the text that have received less attention and which, therefore, we know as "peripheral." The Aragonese translation of the Travels is one of these cases. Therefore, the goal of this work is to analyze how the historiographic discourse that encompasses this Aragonese version is formed, observing the dependence it will have on the central historiographic discourse and the relationships that exist between one and the other.
