摘要
We investigate the ability of rapidly changing lateral boundary conditions to change the rate of dispersion and attenuation of an elastic pulse without changing the composite's material parameters. It is easier to tune wave propagation in composites by using time-varying boundary conditions rather than changing the material properties of solid materials. Numerical simulations of the pulse propagation in two-dimensional inhomogeneous elastic laminate demonstrate that observed stress distribution patterns differ significantly from those for time-independent boundary conditions.
