摘要
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is considered a novel and time-efficient method to reduce cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. CVD remains a leading cause of mor-bidity and mortality in kidney transplant recipients, which has been associated with observed elevated traditional and non-traditional risk factors (Devine et al., 2019). However, research in this population is severely limited. This quali-tative research aimed to explore kidney transplant recipi-ents' perceptions and experiences of HIIT, as well as readiness to participate, in order to build on key recom-mendations for conducting future trials and designing rehabilitation programmes, and other exercise and educa-tional resources designed to increase physical activity.
