摘要
The article seeks to develop reflections on the role of the school, highlighting the contribution of different social theories of education through bibliographical research. The trajectory starts from the understanding of the school space of culture given by Geertz and, reflecting the school on the concept of ideology in Marx, in opposition to some his ideas, showing what education is for Durkheim. Some points from Althusser and Bourdieu's theories about school presented. Ending with Michael Apple and how he sees the school and defines curricular action. And it is from this that children's story about social sciences for children emerges, by understanding sociology, anthropology and political science as relevant options in the construction of a curriculum that brings counterpoints, by offering different readings of world that complement each other and/or are opposed.
