摘要
The additive hazards model is often used in reliability analysis in areas like system reliability when the difference of risks under two different conditions is considered. One of the drawbacks of additive hazards model is that, it cannot be used to model crossing of hazard rates. Motivated by this, in this paper we introduce a flexible model that features this property, obtained as a generalization of the additive hazards model by taking the power of the baseline hazard rate. It is more flexible than the conventional additive hazards model. We investigate different properties of the model. We also analyze data from both reliability and survival perspective.
