摘要：

Various Puerto Rican historians have mentioned the Municipal Theatre of San Juan in passing. However, a number of previously unknown graphic and documentary sources located in different archives now make it possible to analyse the theatrical architecture built by the civil and military engineers sent to Puerto Rico in the 19th century, whose contributions have gone unnoticed by most authors.
