摘要：

在中国研究领域,许慧文所著《国家的触手》一书曾激起众多思想的涟漪。其关于改革开放时代农民在政府面前可能更为脆弱这一假说,尤具争议性。今天,应该重新审视许之假说。中国所走过的独特的市场化道路将农民与村干部在土地方面的利益纽带斩断,从而加强了农民在政府征用土地方面的脆弱性。受农村政治、社会经济结构的影响,农村选举虽然在理论上可以帮助修复村干部与农民之间的利益纽带,但迄今为止,收效甚微。
