摘要:
In this paper, two models for flow system having multiple inlet and outlet streams are discussed.One deals with the cascade vessels system where the processed material in each stage is ideally mixed,the other deals with the cascade vessels system where the processed material in each stage may not beideally mixed. The residence time distribution functions of the two models are presented. The super-position rule of the residence time distribution functions presented by Buffham and Krophollerhas been proved correct. The method used for experimental determination of the residence time distribu-tion functions is given. The result may be of interest in the study of chemical reactor, combustorand chemical separation equipment design, as well as in that of natural processes in physiologicalsystem and dispersion processes in rivers and estuaries.
