宏观经济环境对风险资本筹集的影响:需求驱动还是供给驱动?

本文研究宏观经济环境对风险资本筹集的影响以及影响机理。以中国风险资本市场2000年至2011年541家风险投资机构(简称VC)筹集的1162个风险投资基金为样本,本文研究发现:当宏观经济处于高增长期(或扩张期)时,向VC提供资金的投资者数量增加,筹资的VC增多,风险资本行业的筹资规模及其在社会融资规模中所占的比例上升;当宏观经济处于低增长期(或衰退期)时,情况相反。同时研究发现,宏观经济波动对不同类型VC的影响有所不同,在高增长期(或扩张期)筹资的VC主要是新近成立的VC,而不是成立时间久的VC。上述结论支持"飞向品质"假说,意味着宏观经济环境变动所引起的投资者投资偏好变化是其影响风险资本筹集的原因。
