摘要：
We give the correct results of deGennes-Landau’s theory when it is applied to nematic liquid crystals. The recently observed asymmetry of the critical indices of the correlation length on the two sides of Tis explained. Contrary to current conclusions in the literatures, we emphasize that, quantitatively speaking, deGennes-Landau’s theory is inapplicable to the nematic phase.
