摘要：

1980年代以来,美国众多学者对城市形态和交通行为的联系进行了深入研究,研究内容包括城市形态特征与车辆行驶里程、出行模式选择、出行频率等不同交通行为指标的关系。虽然研究方法各不相同,但几乎所有的研究都发现:1)在考虑社会经济、居民自选择等因素后,城市形态特征对交通行为仍具有显著性影响;2)各指标的影响力存在较大差异;3)单个指标的影响力较小,但同时改变多个指标产生的综合效应会比较大。回顾了这一研究领域的理论基础、研究方法及成果,并对未来的发展进行了展望。
