英语学界社交媒体“隐私悖论”研究

摘要
近年来,域外英文学术期刊中比较集中地发表了一批研究"隐私悖论"问题的成果,涉及新闻传播学、法学、情报学、信息科学等学科。通过对这些研究成果的梳理发现,它们主要围绕以下三个主题开展论述:"隐私悖论"的概念界定;"隐私悖论"的成因分析;网络用户应对"隐私悖论"困境的策略。这些研究成果表明,"隐私悖论"现象普遍存在于用户对社交网站的使用之中;自我披露带来的实际益处是造成这一悖论的主因;对这一悖论的应对更多地需要网络用户自觉主动的隐私保护行为。"隐私悖论"现象说明,在网络时代,"个人信息不得非法公开"的被动隐私含义难以成立,信息公开与否已经不能成为判断隐私的标准。对信息的主动控制,尤其是控制谁能看到自我披露的信息已经成为隐私含义的核心,用户对已经披露公开的信息依然具有合理的隐私期待。
