A traditional and typical listening course at college levelcan be described in terms of three steps: press button-checkanswers-repress button. It has been believed that theteaching of listening comprehension centers on what teachersdo, that is, the actions and behaviors which teachers carry outin classroom are given prominence. Students are seen as thereceivers of "comprehensible input".
