Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery

<正> Laparoscopic colorectal surgery has been expanding and gaining popularity among both general and eolorectal surgeons. Based upon earlier experience with other laparoscopic procedures such as cholecystectomy and appendicectomy, the potential advantage of laparoscopic colorectal surgery include decreased postoperative pain, ileus and hospitalisation, early return to work and better cosmoses. However, to date none of the benefits has been proven in a prospective randomised controlled studies and most series discussed these factors with non-randomised prospective studies or with historical controls.
