The role of PAG in the acupuncture analgesia 1. After noxious stimulation of splanchnic nerve or tail, the majority ofunits responded with increased frequency, some of units showed decreased fre-quency and the remainder had no response to both of noxious stimulation. Itseems to imply that PAG is one of the brain structures which receive somati-co-visceral pain impulses.
