Development of Integrated Braking and Steering System for Electric Bus

Based on actual needs of lightweight,cost reduction,energy saving and convenient arrangement of electric bus,integrated braking and steering system is developed.The air compressor of braking system and the hydraulic pump of power steering system are drived by an electric motor.The key factors which will affect the performance of air compressor in the electric bus are analysed and air compressor of the braking system is designed.The active adaptive control and vibration isolation control technique are also applied to the electric bus.Test and application show that the integrated braking and steering system can achieve the operation better in electric bus.
