Ecofeminism is the outcome of women’s liberation movement and environmental movement. It analyses ecological problems from the aspect of sex to deeply criticize male chauvinism. From the perspective of ecofeminism, this paper tries to analyze Hardy’s representative novel Tess of the d’Urbervilles by describing the intricacy between women and nature, the tragic encounters and life experiences of Tess, and her thought changing during her miserable life. This paper aims to explore the practical significance of ecofeminism, calling on people to create a harmonious society where human and nature coexist together peacefully and equality between men and women are achieved.
