Application of IT (Information Technolo gy ) to equipment management have not been adequately made. A system using Benefit Evaluation Ladder is described for evaluating the need for IT applications to ma intenance management. A systematic evaluation scheme for Computerized Maintenanc e Management System (CMMS) is presented.
