算法新闻用户的数字鸿沟:表现及影响

算法正在开辟新的、复杂的数字鸿沟,在个体的生活中以不可预见、往往被忽视的方式出现。数字鸿沟的表现已经从第一级的接入沟,深入扩散到第二级的使用沟和内容沟层面。研究以今日头条的用户为研究对象,通过配额抽样的问卷调查方法,考察算法新闻用户的数字鸿沟以及带来的社会影响。结果揭示了用户社会经济地位的不同、对新技术获益感知的不同,都会引发算法新闻用户群体在使用上的差异(即使用沟);用户的社会经济地位差异也导致了算法新闻用户可见内容的差异(即内容沟);同时,用户群体之间的内容沟比技术沟更易于形成信息茧房效应。
