Information was gained concerning the post-graduate careers of32,5 graduates of five mission and one non-mission medical school.The time of these men and women has been spent in 133 differentlocalities in China.There was,however,a concentration of time inthose cities and provinces in which medical schools are located.Graduates of mission schools have spent approximately one-halftheir time in mission medical institutions.Non-graduate "doctors" out-number graduates in almost all lo-calities,but especially in those having but one or a few graduates.There is said to be need of more graduate doctors in all but afew of the largest cities.The opinion becomes more nearly unanimousthe smaller the number of doctors in the community.Graduates stress the need of continued post-graduate instructionand helpful professional contacts.
