At the present time the subject of health is much before the public. Matters of health and disease are discussed at the dinner table and in the drawing room which a little while ago would have been reserved for the privacy of the consulting room. Consequently there is much imaginary disease and as a natural result a corresponding number of imaginary remedies. It is needless to say that there is also much real disease. A great deal is preventable or curable, but much of this suffering is not
