什么是哲学?——基于学科与学说视野的考察

Various efforts have been made to answer the question "what is philosophy?",but none has achieved a universal consent.This paper argues that this embarrassment is the consequence of the failure in distinguishing the following two different concepts: "academic discipline" and "theory",which leads to more difficulty in understanding the interrelationship between the two concepts and the distinct requirements of each concept.This papaer first tries to make an analysis of philosophy as the forms of "academic discipline",and as of "specific theories";pointing out that philosophy is indeed the discipline consensus formed on the stage of huan public iedologial culture.while on the level of concrete theories,we should respect the fact,namely,the cultural diversity,and promote the prosperity of philosophical study by encouraging equal communication and cooperation among different theoretical systems.
