摘要
The petroleum and chemical production isheavily reliant on energy.For the petrochemicalindustry, energy (coal and petroleum) isthe fuel and power as well as the feedstock.About 40% of the energy is used as raw material(excluding crude oil processing).Theenergy consumption (end consumption) inthe nation’s petroleum and chemical industryin 2009 totaled 471.9 million tons of standardcoal, accounting for 15.2% of China’stotal and 22.6% of all industrial consumption(down about 5 percentage points from2000).
