摘要
This commentary argues that family stories have economic value beyond personal connections when family stories move into the public sphere. The commentary points out that the current story economy offers opportunities and challenges for scholars of the family stories to consider, such as how family stories move from the individual and personal, across the ecological system to general publics, and also urges scholars to consider the ethical implications of what stories are told and by whom.
