摘要:
This study examined the impact of effective training on civil servants' performance and quality of public service delivery. The main aim was to evaluate how effective training contributes to civil servants' performance and the effectiveness of public service delivery. Using a cross-sectional research design, data were randomly collected from 100 federal government civil servants who received training at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) and School of Management and Public Administration (SMPA). The study employed partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) through Smart-PLS (v.4.1.0.5). The findings indicate that effective training positively influences civil servants' performance, the study also reveals that civil servants' performance mediates the relationship between effective training and public service delivery effectiveness. These findings have practical implications for various stakeholders, including government agencies, practitioners, training institutions, and policymakers, highlighting the need for effective training programs and performance appraisal systems. Policymakers can also leverage these findings to develop an evidence-based framework that effectively integrates training programs, employee performance, and service delivery goals.
