摘要
We examined the effects of a supervisor's multicultural orientation in clinical supervision (MCO-S) on how supervisees perceive supervision processes and outcomes. To conduct this study, we employed an analog method to create two mock supervision vignettes based on the level of a supervisor's multicultural orientation (high MCO-S vs. low MCO-S). We randomly assigned 82 supervisees to each supervision condition. As a result, the high MCO-S group reported significantly higher scores than the low MCO-S group across all factors regarding supervision processes and outcomes, including supervisees' expectations of self-disclosure, supervision outcome, and supervisory satisfaction, with large effect sizes. This study suggests the potential effectiveness of MCO-S on supervisory processes and outcomes in South Korean training using an analog design. Integrating MCO into training programs in South Korea is beneficial, but we need further research on its effects on actual supervision and therapy outcomes.
