Analytical Model for Performance Estimation of Coherent Digital Subcarrier Multiplexing Systems Affected by Filtering, Optical and Electrical Noise

摘要
We introduce a semi-analytical approach to evaluate the performance degradation caused by filtering effects and linear cross-talk in Digital Subcarrier Multiplexing (DSCM)-based coherent systems, and corroborate it with Monte Carlo numerical simulations. Our results demonstrate high model precision with an error in the sensitivity penalty below 0.1 dB.
