摘要
This research investigates the influence of aspects of e-corporate governance on the websites of Saudi-listed companies and explores how web design and web content affect trust and investment intention in each company. To this end, we conducted a representative survey of 301 investors in Saudi-listed companies and employed structural equation modelling. The findings reveal that specific web design attributes, such as navigation and multimedia, have a significant positive impact on enhancing investors' trust, and their consequent intention to invest. These design elements outperform some web content features in influencing investor behaviour. However, certain aspects of web content, including financial information and company overviews, continue to exert a notable influence on investor trust. In conclusion, e-corporate governance is a multi-layered concept, enhancing organizational transparency and disclosure, comprising elements of web design and web content, with each layer having sub-layers with varying degrees of influence on trust and investment intention.
