摘要
In this population-based, nationwide Danish cohort study, bacterial meningitis in childhood was associated with increased neurological morbidity. The risks were highest among young children, who also received more antiepileptic medication. All children had increased frequency of hospital visits. These findings highlight the importance of follow-up after bacterial meningitis in children. In this population-based, nationwide Danish cohort study, bacterial meningitis in childhood was associated with increased neurological morbidity, with the highest risks among young children, who additionally had increased use of hospital services and antiepileptic medication.
