A real-time environmental monitoring system based on the LoRa wireless networking communication has been designed, which is capable of monitoring temperature, humidity, air quality, and water line, with built-in alarm functionality. This system consists of three parts: the upper computer, gateway, and monitoring terminal, utilizing the LoRa module as a communication carrier for real-time information transmission. The monitoring terminal comprises multiple acquisition modules, which transmit information to the gateway through LoRa networking. The LoRa gateway receives and processes data uploaded by monitoring terminals. The LoRa gateway receives and processes data uploaded by monitoring terminals, enabling the upper computer to display data in real time through serial port communication. Additionally, automatic alarms are triggered when the water level or smoke exceeds the threshold values. This system has been confirmed to be effective, economical, accurate, and meets the design requirements. This design overcomes limitations of traditional wireless and Bluetooth signals, such as limited coverage range and high power consumption, enabling long-distance transmission. It can be applied in scenarios such as environmental protection and smart agriculture to improve production efficiency.
