摘要
The current research paper examines how firm characteristics impact the relationship between sustainable environmental management practices (SEMPs) and stakeholder pressure (SP) in India's red-category industries. We have reviewed previous research on SP, SEMPs and firm characteristics that may influence this relationship. Data for the study was gathered using a structured questionnaire. The research was conducted from March 2023 to November 2023. The study sample included 229 red-category industries in India. Structural equation modeling (SEM) has been used in the current study for data analysis. The study sample includes both manufacturing and service sectors. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first study investigating the moderating role of various firm characteristics (Firm size, age, sector and ownership) on the association between SP and SEMPs in polluting industries within a developing nation. The insights derived from this study enrich the existing literature and aid government employees, experts, and managers in making informed decisions in this area.
