摘要
With the development of THz technology (0.1 THz-10 THz), THz wave and traveling wave tube (TWT) have gained wide use in many frontier domains. TWT uses the multistage depressed collector (MDC) behind the slow wave structure (SWS) to collect the wasted electrons' energy and increase its efficiency. The structure of MDC is complex with many changeable parameters. In the actual design process, it is difficult to analyze which parameters play a major role in affecting the TWT's efficiency, and scanning all the parameters will greatly increase the workload. This article uses the random forest (RF) algorithm to test the feature importance of a 3-stage MDC used for a G-band, high-power TWT, reduce the number of features and simplify the design of this MDC.
