摘要
Document management is considered a scientific discipline that has evolved over time as information and communication technologies have advanced and impacted the way organizations produce, use and store information. The objective of this research was to analyze the behavior of scientific production on document management in Ecuador according to Scopus in the period 2018-2022. A descriptive study was carried out with a quantitative approach. Using bibliometric indicators, it was possible to provide relevant quantifiable information on specific topics in document management, including the number of publications related to the topic. As a result, it is evident that currently there is a limited amount of research on the topic directly, which can have significant consequences on its future development, which is why it is necessary to focus on expanding the field of knowledge regarding this scientific discipline.
