摘要
Haptic Interpersonal Communication (HIC), a significant application of the Tactile Internet (TI), has garnered attention in the scientific community due to the increasing demand for interactive experiences involving touch, particularly in response to global crises like Covid-19. HIC encompasses various interdisciplinary domains crucial for its optimal functionality. However, there has been a notable oversight in its network domain, where real-time immersion is vital. To address this gap, our study aims to redefine the conventional understanding of HIC and outline the necessary conditions. In this paper, we propose a novel architectural framework for HIC, utilizing key enabling technologies such as Fog computing and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) to facilitate authentic tactile interactions through high data rate Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC).
