Es ist unbestritten, dass Kognitive Verhaltenstherapie (KVT) in der Behandlung von Schlafstorungen wirksam ist. Deswegen wird die KVT in den Leitlinien auch als Behandlung der ersten Wahl empfohlen. Allerdings bestehen diese KVT-Programme aus vielen Komponenten und es ist unklar, welche davon eigentlich wirken.
